EucalyptEase is a thoughtfully developed wellness brand tailored for children aged 4 and up, offering gentle, effective melatonin-based vitamin gummies designed to support healthy sleep habits. In a world where overstimulation and irregular schedules often affect children’s rest, EucalyptEase provides a natural, parent-approved solution to promote consistent, restful sleep.
A very large reason as to why I wanted to work on medicine meant for children ties back to my childhood. Growing up, I absolutely refused to take things like cough syrup because of how intimidating it looked. I decided to take this struggle that many parents face, and find a create a solution for it. By observing other products on the market that cater to this, such as the ever so popular Flintstone gummies, they feature cute visuals and fun colours which I really tried to incorporate. It’s a niche but very successfull market that I found worked well for what I had in mind.
But why the name EucalyptEase? The name blends “Eucalyptus”, symbolizing calm, clarity, and natural remedies with “Ease,” representing our mission to make bedtime smoother for both kids and parents. Together, EucalyptEase conveys a feeling of natural relaxation and gentle support.
The packaging features a soft pastel blue and yellow color palette, chosen to evoke calmness and reference the night sky, with visual elements such as stars and clouds. A key design feature is an additional locking flap, which serves both functional and narrative purposes. On this flap, a story unfolds visually: a sleepy koala gets ready for bed, eventually shown peacefully sleeping on a cloud with a blanket and nightcap. It’s a soothing design that will be sure to comfort any child with bedtime struggles.
This was done for two key reasons:
To engage children with a charming, relatable bedtime character that captures their imagination and builds a sense of routine.
To reassure parents by visually communicating the soothing, positive effects of the product in a warm, approachable way.
EucalyptEase isn’t just a supplement, it’s a small but meaningful part of a more peaceful bedtime experience for both children and parents.
This was probably one of my all time favourite projects, and I really enjoyed the process from start to finish. It’s a design that’s both professional and reassuring for adults, but also safe and comforting for children. Incorporating complimenraty colors and the aspect of storytelling through visuals like the Koala really brought the brand to life.
